Many characters inhabit the World of WarCraft: saints and heroes, villains and monsters, and innumerable others who fall somewhere in between. Some of these individuals have dared to believe themselves greater than they are, and have begun to shape the future of Azeroth.

Their trials, failures, and triumphs may change the face of the world, or they may fade away like so much dust in the wind. Only one thing is certain: their lives, and the lives of their compatriots, will never the be same.

Vyrana

Vyrana, sporting a stylish [Dirty Leather Vest]
Vyrana is a young druid particularly sensitive to the mystic connection he shares with the earth. At an early age, he began to hear the words of the Earthmother's pain as the land was slowly choked by pollution, disfigurement, and the bitter agony of tortured lives.

Since before he can remember, Vyrana has been devoted to bringing harmony to the earth. So fanatical is his dedication to his goal, and so short is his temper, that he has earned the distrust and censure of the Council of Druids in Thunderbluff. The Archdruid, Hamuul Runetotem, in particular doesn't trust the impetuous younger druid, believing his thoughts to be clouded by anger.

For his own part, Vyrana distrusts the Archdruid just as much. Vyrana is convinced Runetotem abuses his power and will bring untold suffering to the world through his unwillingness to act when action is demanded. This schism between the Archdruid and Vyrana, coupled with the younger druid's loudly-voiced opinions that the Council is too mired in ancient tradition to be an effective governing body, has put Vyrana's place with his own people in jeopardy.

Myrlan

Myrlan is a wandering druid who left Kalimdor shortly after the defeat of the Burning Legion at Mount Hyjal. Following the call of the Earthmother, he seemed to disappear from the face of Azeroth, and in a sense he had. He was needed in the Emerald Dream, and once he had found a suitable location for a make-shift barrow down, he began his long slumber.

The Burning Legion's invasion had scarred the world, and the undead Scourge of the Lich King had poisoned the wounds. Suspicion continued to fester within the ranks of the grand alliance that had stopped Archimonde at the World Tree, and it was only a matter of time before the old hatreds rotted the alliance from the core.

Understanding this, Myrlan returned to the Dream in order to help the earth heal before it would have to bear the weight of terrible war once again.

Years passed before Myrlan felt the subtle tugging of the Earthmother upon his soul. He will go wherever the Dream leads, and he only hopes it will lead him to those who will rise up to meet the challenges of their day, and do what they can to preserve the land.
